RESPONSIBILITIES:
The obligation to carry out assigned tasks within an area of Responsibilities

The Manager QA/QC is responsible for:
•    The quality control activities are being performed in accordance with the company objectives, strategies and regulations.
•    Ensure that latest Directives and Codes (ASME/GB/EN etc) are updated and followed
•    Customer- and standard requirements are paid due attention to.
•    Resource management (QA/QC Engineers) both internal and through networks for assuring that projects follow procedures and have competent resources to fulfill projects’ quality requirements.
•    Following our management system ONE POWER.
•    Participation to Development of QA/QC processes in Power.

Employee's HSE responsibilities:
-    Advice, train and control supervision Engineers in  HSE policy
-    When working:  
•    working in a safe manner without risk to himself or herself, others or the environment
•    follow HSE policy and related instructions
•    report all incidents, near miss cases or HSE risks as instructed
•    correctly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
•    make suggestions on how to improve HSE practices


AUTHORITIES:
The right to make decisions within the area of Responsibilities

Define and execute actions that are required for supplier's delivery control and supervision
Use when necessary external resources for delivery control.
Propose suppliers to be approved or rejected for QM or QAM final decision. (approval based on supplier classification)

TASKS:
The Manager QA/QC ´s tasks are described in the following process:
ONE POWER – Supplier approval, Supplier Delivery Performance, Pressure Part delivery project Execution, Management Support, Continues Improvement Process, HSE Management process
Ensure that organization and supervisors understand  quality requirements
Ensure that suppliers understand  quality requirements
Make plans and resourcing for delivery supervision
Pre-audit and participation in audits of new suppliers in China
Participation in commercial negotiations with suppliers in China
Risk assessments for CCC purchases as defined needed by project QAE
Kick-off meetings with suppliers as defined needed by project QAE
Responsible for QC and delivery supervision
NCR handling
Reporting to project QAE
Expertise in Chinese legislative quality requirements
Feedback from Chinese suppliers to Power’s feedback tools (Improve, DMS)
Review of suppliers ITP
Necessary contact to authorities  

Create procedures and instructions of control
Procure standard control
Resource plan for non-destructive examination being performed in prescribed scope
Check that own and contracted personnel are performing non-destructive examinations and have current authorization
Procure non-destructive examination

Planning of projects delivery supervision
Receiving of progress reports and inspection reports.
Follow up of suppliers delivery performance (Quality and delivery time)
Suppliers delivery performance reporting to project teams
Inspection coordination according to the plan.
Managing of inspection resource capacity in China
Develop and maintain inspection resource network in China
Supplier evaluation and supplier delivery performance development process development.
Cost estimation and budget follow-up in projects
Takes part into manufacturing supervision

COMPETENCIES
Education:
Bachelor Degree (or higher) from technical university
Specialty: quality, welding or mechanics, boiler engineering, pressure vessels etc.  
Skills:
Good communication and English skills
Good knowledge of boiler plant supply packages and supplier network
Good computer skills
Technical background
Good knowledge of quality systems and quality management
Audit competence
Knowledge about Q requirements (GB, ASME, EN-PED)
Experience:
Minimum five years work experience.
Two years experience at the field described in tasks.
Manager experience required.
